A Bit About:
Corey Hessinger, MSW, LCSW

I graduated Summa Cum Laude from UMASS Amherst earning a Bachelors Degree in Psychology with a Minor in Women's Studies.  I then went on to earn my Masters in Social Work from Monmouth University.  I have been credentialed as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker since 2011.

I have worked and trained in a variety of both inpatient and outpatient settings.  This has given me a broad perspective of the resources available for those seeking mental health treatment, as well as the challenges that can often be experienced in the process of seeking treatment.

I am a strong believer in the healing power of laughter and utilize humor in my sessions whenever possible.

My Services

I am a client-centered, strengths-based and systems-oriented clinician, working from a trauma informed perspective.  I believe that each individual is an expert on their own life.

I believe that my role as a clinician is to facilitate a safe and empowering therapeutic environment, which allows clients to explore thought and behavior patterns that may no longer be serving them.  Through education and individualized interventions, I work together with my clients to support them in developing the skills needed to reach their self-identified goals for healing and peace.  Although we cannot experience peace in every moment, everyone deserves to experience moments of peace.

Insurance/ Self Pay

Insurance Currently Accepted: Aetna

At this time, I am not accepting EAP benefits

Dealing with health insurance can be overwhelming.  Below are some questions that you can ask your insurance provider to get a better understanding of what your benefits cover.

  • What are your mental health benefits?

  • What type(s) of therapy are covered by your benefits?

  • Do your benefits cover in-person and/or telehealth services?

  • How many sessions are covered by your benefits?

  • Do you have a deductible? If so, how much has already been paid toward it.

Self Pay Rate for Individual Therapy: $125.00 per session

"Try to be a rainbow in someone's cloud." -Maya Angelou

In the midst of the clouds of life's challenges, it is easy to forget that rainbows exist.  I strive to help clients identify and embrace the rainbow moments in their life, in order to sustain hope and motivation, while we work together toward healing and moving through the clouds.
